The Farmall F-12 was a row-crop tractor produced by International Harvester from 1932 to 1938. It was available in two versions, the standard F-12 and the F-12V with a vertical engine. The F-12 had a four-speed transmission and a four-cylinder engine that produced 18 horsepower. It had a three-point hitch, which was a new innovation at the time, and allowed for more efficient plowing. The F-12 was also a pioneer in farming technology, as it was the first tractor to have a PTO (power takeoff) unit, which allowed it to power other farming equipment like a mower or hay baler. The F-12's popularity helped to establish the Farmall name among farmers, and it was the first in a long line of successful Farmall tractors.
